Deploy state-of-the-art ML models

You’ll learn how to go beyond Jupyter Notebooks and use an industry-standard ML software development stack to build, package, and deploy state-of-the-art ML models as containerized web applications in cloud-based production environments.

Walk the ML path from start to finish

You’ll walk the path from Unix Command Line, Git, and package management essentials to state-of-the-art data engineering and ML modeling, to building AI applications hosted on MLOps pipelines in the cloud.

Collaborative cohorts

You’ll work directly with like-minded peers, expert instructors and career coaches, and a supportive FourthBrain community to ensure that you can take each step along your journey with confidence.

What you'll learn

In this course, we break down ML Engineering into four pillars: Data-centric AI (four weeks), ML Modeling (three weeks), AI Applications (three weeks), and MLOps (four weeks). Our first week is all about getting set up for success with ML software development basics, and our final week is focused on preparing for Demo Day, where you'll be presenting the AI product that you build over the course of the program.

Program Structure

Your 16-week program is designed to maximize practical and industry-relevant experience through hands-on, project-based learning.  We introduce each week’s topic by first addressing the “why” of the new tools we’ll be using, from first principles.  Once the underlying concepts are understood, then picking up a new tool becomes a matter of implementation and syntax.

Live sessions emphasize these principles, and include both high-level discussions and small group programming assignments. You will complete programming assignments each week during class. Select weeks will contain optional programming assignments for advanced learners who wish to dive deeper into specific ML Engineering topics.

You’ll also complete a group capstone project, which you will work on throughout the program. Most weeks you’ll have a capstone assignment to drive you towards completing an end-to-end ML project. Capstone assignments are designed to drive you to think strategically about approaching business problems with machine learning.  By working with your Capstone team, you’ll not only strengthen your knowledge and showcase your technical skills, but you’ll also get some exposure to what it’s like working on a high-performing AI product team.

You're a good fit for this course if:

  • You have professional data skills and are ready to commit to strengthening their software engineering skills
  • You generally feel overwhelmed or frustrated with trying to study data and software engineering, cloud computing, and deployment on your own.
  • You’re a lifelong learner who aims to create real value for yourself and your industry through responsible AI practices throughout your career
  • You’re ready to take ownership of your learning and growth and want to do it in a supported and positive group environment
  • You are ready to work collaboratively with others on a team capstone project

Don't just take our word for it

Our graduates work at companies like Intel, Rent the Runway, Amazon, JP Morgan Chase, and Microsoft.

FourthBrain provided a great platform for ML in my opinion. It covered many diverse topics which I would not have covered by taking other courses. Industry sponsored projects are very valuable.

The most rewarding experience I had at FourthBrain was the individual project! Getting specific insights, direction, and feedback from an expert in the field really helped me to understand ML on a deeper level!

Before I enrolled in FourthBrain I had a very academic point of view of machine learning models, now I know what it takes to take them into production and impact humanity.
